How a Hot Tub Removal Runs, Step by Step
- Free on-site look. The important part is the route out: gate widths, steps, decking that has been built around the tub, and whether it sits on a second-storey deck or a roof terrace.
- Disconnect the services. A hot tub is hard-wired. The electrical feed has to be isolated by a licensed electrician before anything is moved, and any gas or water line has to be capped.
- Drain it. The tub is fully drained to an appropriate drain, not across a neighbour’s yard.
- Cut it down if it will not fit. Where the tub cannot come out whole, the shell and cabinet are cut into manageable sections on site.
- Remove surrounding structure if needed. Decking, steps or a pergola built around the tub often has to come apart first. We put back what is being kept.
- Haul and tidy. The tub, the cabinet and every offcut leave with us, and the pad or deck underneath is swept clean.

We do not publish a flat price for hot tub removal, because the cost is almost entirely about access rather than the tub. A ground-level tub beside a wide gate is a short job. A tub on a raised deck, inside a screened enclosure, or one that has to be cut apart and carried through a house is a very different one.
